Automatic Updates
Myzone uses an update manager program that checks each night for new software release and automatically applies them. This manager is periodically updated with new functionality and fixes to ensure smooth downloads.
Manual Update Process
To manually update your software:
1. Exit the Software:

- Click in the top right-hand corner of the screen to bring up the menu.
- Click "Unlock Admin" and enter your password.
- Click "Exit Myzone."
2. Open the Myzone Update Manager:
- On your desktop, locate and open the Myzone Update Manager.
- Click "File," then "Update."
You will see the update manager begin to run through all available updates. It will open once completed.
3. Run Updates:
- Click "File" and "Launch" to open your software while letting the update run in the background. Myzone will automatically close and re-open when the update is complete.
Troubleshooting: Why Won't My Software Update?
Problem - My updater is stuck on a file and isn't moving
Solution:
1. Check the Version Number of the Update Manager:
- The latest version is 3.3.0. If your version is lower or missing, download the latest update manager and follow the steps to upgrade.

2. Download the Latest Update Manager:
It's best to do this on a different PC to avoid issues with an outdated internet browser. If this isn't possible, download and install Google Chrome first.
3. Install Updates:
- Close all running programs, including the Myzone updater, and the Myzone Agent
- Locate up your downloaded files (either via USB drive or directly on the PC).
- Double-click to open and run
MyZone_Installer_3_3_0.msi
.
- If you receive an alert about the .NET Framework, you need to update it first.
- Locate and run
ndp472-kb4054531-web.exe
. - Accept the terms, press "Next," and follow any onscreen prompts, including closing apps.
Select "Yes" when prompted.
6. Handle Running Myzone Files:
- If Myzone files are still in use, you will see an error. Select "Continue," and the installer will close them.
- If prompted, select "Yes" to restart the PC.
- After restarting, the version number will be 3.3.0, and it will be able to complete any pending downloads that were previously stuck.
