You must have owner or coach permission to access this feature and be socially connect to anyone you wish to chat with.
1. What employee permission level is needed to access MZ-Chat from your Myzone account?
MZ-Chat is available via the admin portal for the ‘Owner’ and ‘Coach’ permission.
3. Do I have to be connected to my social connections before using MZ-Chat?
Yes – you must be social connections first before being able to use MZ-chat.
4. How do I know I am not socially connected with other users?
You can determine this a few ways: If you do not see the other user on your connections list, you are not connected. Also, if you search the user's name from your MZ-Chat window, you might see the user is highlighted "dark grey" which indicates they are not a connection. When you click on the user's name and are prompted to send a connection request, you are not yet social connections.
5. How do I know I can begin an MZ-Chat conversation from my online account?
If you are viewing from the MZ-Chat window, you will notice that after you search for the user, their name will be highlighted in a “white box.” When you select their name, you can engage in conversation right away without the connection request prompt.
6. Can I search for other Myzone users that are from other facilities?
Yes – however, you will need to search for users that are not part of your facility within the connections page. If a member is part of your facility, you can search for them via the connections tab or the MZ-Chat window.
7. How am I notified when someone replies to my MZ-Chat?
You will receive a notification in the upper right corner of your Myzone account page and in the Myzone app where you can respond as well.
8. How do users continue a conversation when I send them an MZ-Chat from my admin portal?
Members will receive a push notification and open the conversation from the MZ-Chat section in the Myzone app. Members do not have the ability to use MZ-Chat from their online Myzone account.
9. Can I attach a photo in my MZ-Chat?
Yes – you can attach a photo within the MZ-Chat window.
