How to Comply with GDPR Using Myzone: A Guide for Club Operators

The European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), effective since May 25, 2018, is a significant milestone in safeguarding the fundamental right to privacy for EU residents. As a club operator, understanding and adhering to GDPR require

Step 1: Assess Your Facility Level

Before diving into the specifics, determine your facility’s level:

  • Level 1: All facilities must accept this agreement, regardless of their location. It ensures compliance with GDPR even if your club doesn’t have EU citizens.
  • Level 2: If your facility is outside the EU and doesn’t handle EU citizens’ data, this level applies. You’ll gain access to personal data on the Myzone 2.0 platform.
  • Level 3: If your facility needs access to EU citizens’ personal data, but without downloading data from Myzone 2.0, choose this level.
  • Level 4: For facilities requiring access to EU citizens’ data, including downloading data and using an API, Level 4 is the right fit.
